Motion graphics promo for a crypto startup's investor pitch
For this project, I created a motion graphics promotional video for Nofi, a startup in the cryptocurrency space. The founders needed a compelling visual narrative to present to potential investors at an upcoming convention. With a tight timeline and specific reference from Robinhood, I developed an engaging video that effectively communicated their value proposition to a sophisticated crypto/web3 audience.
The video needed to balance technical complexity with approachable storytelling, leveraging the client's existing UX assets while transforming them into a dynamic motion piece. The result was a concise yet impactful 1-minute promotional video that successfully supported their investor pitch.

Creating an effective promotional video for a crypto startup presented several significant challenges. The content needed to resonate with a knowledgeable web3 audience while maintaining visual appeal and narrative coherence.
I developed a strategic approach that balanced efficiency with creativity, implementing several techniques to overcome the technical and timeline challenges.
The circular guide element provided visual continuity throughout transitions
My approach to this project combined structured planning with creative execution, allowing for efficiency while maintaining quality. The process evolved through four key phases that took us from initial concept to final delivery.
I began by analyzing the Robinhood reference video to understand the style and structure that resonated with the client. Simultaneously, I worked with the Nofi team to deeply understand their crypto/web3 target audience, ensuring the content would speak directly to knowledgeable investors in this space.
I created a grid-based storyboard to visualize the narrative flow and scene transitions. This phase also involved organizing the client's Figma UX assets and determining which elements needed to be recreated or modified for animation. The storyboard became our shared blueprint, allowing for early feedback before entering production.
I divided the animation into manageable scene-based compositions in After Effects to reduce complexity. To create visual continuity between these separate compositions, I developed a circular guide element that would appear throughout the video, creating a consistent visual thread while facilitating smooth transitions between scenes.
Throughout production, I maintained an iterative feedback loop with the client, sending progressive versions to confirm we were on the right track. This approach allowed me to make adjustments early in the process rather than facing major revisions at the end. The feedback cycle was accelerated to accommodate the tight deadline while ensuring all stakeholder needs were met.
The final 1-minute and 6-second promotional video successfully met all client objectives and was delivered on schedule for the investor convention. The motion graphics piece effectively communicated Nofi's value proposition to their crypto/web3 audience.
Beyond the quantitative metrics, this project achieved several key qualitative results:
"Federico delivered exactly what we needed on an extremely tight timeline. The video helped us communicate our vision to investors at the convention in a way that static slides never could have."

This project reinforced several important principles in motion graphics design while also providing new insights into managing technical complexity under tight deadlines.
This project reinforced my belief in the power of visual narrative to communicate complex ideas. Finding creative solutions to technical challenges — like the circular guide element — demonstrated how constraints often drive innovation. Each project like this expands my motion graphics toolkit in ways that benefit future work.
