Creating a compelling visual narrative on mixed reality's future in advertising
This project was created as part of USC Marshall School of Business's MKT 556: Internet Marketing class. The assignment required teams to research and create a presentation on an emerging technology, focusing on its potential impact on marketing and advertising.
My team chose to explore Apple Vision Pro and its transformative potential for immersive advertising experiences. While my MBA teammates focused on developing the comprehensive research report and script, I leveraged my video production expertise to create a compelling visual presentation that would bring our analysis to life and create a memorable impression.

Creating a standout presentation on an emerging technology presented several key challenges that needed to be addressed to deliver exceptional results:
I approached the challenge by focusing on strategic resource allocation and creative problem-solving:
My approach to creating this video presentation followed a streamlined production workflow, emphasizing resourcefulness and strategic focus to maximize impact within tight constraints.
After receiving the script from my teammates, I developed a rough storyboard focusing on identifying which sections would benefit most from visual enhancement. I strategically planned one showcase "wow moment" that would serve as the centerpiece of the presentation.
I secured impromptu access to a green screen stage, quickly set up basic lighting, and positioned my DJI Osmo with auto-tracking features to capture myself presenting. This resourceful approach allowed me to work independently without requiring additional crew members.
In After Effects, I spent approximately 80% of my production time crafting the key "wow moment" scene. This involved creating Vision Pro-inspired AR UI elements, complex screen tracking for stock footage integration, and ensuring seamless compositing with the green screen footage.
I filled in the remaining sections with carefully selected stock footage and added professional voiceover narration. Despite the growing complexity of the After Effects project file, I maintained organization enough to complete a polished final product that effectively communicated our team's analysis.
The presentation was exceptionally well-received, generating significant positive feedback from both the professor and classmates. The strategic decision to focus on creating one standout moment paid off substantially in terms of impact and memorability.
Beyond the recognition, this project delivered several valuable outcomes:
"The video presentation stood out among all the class projects. The production quality and particularly that AR visualization moment demonstrated exceptional creativity and technical skill."
— Professor, MKT 556: Internet Marketing, USC Marshall School of Business
This project reinforced valuable principles about video production, resource allocation, and the power of visual storytelling in business presentations.
This project reinforced my passion for creating high-quality, visually impressive videos that communicate complex ideas clearly. It demonstrated how my technical production skills can transform academic content into engaging visual experiences, and how strategic focus on creating standout moments can elevate an entire project beyond expectations. The recognition from the professor validated that technical excellence in visual production is a valuable differentiator in business presentations.
